Last month I had the privilege of attending one of Gene Higa’s wedding workshop held at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Downtown Sacramento. Gene is one of the best wedding photographers in the world and a destination wedding photographer based in San Diego, California. Gene shared his knowledge on weddings. He taught us how to find the natural light no matter what time of day it is. He also showed us how to design elegant wedding albums. After lunch we did some on location shots around Old Town Sacramento with bride and groom models. Gene says it is important not to forget to take a good portrait of the groom since some wedding photographers focus on the bride. This workshop was sponsored by PCL West Imaging, Professional Photographers of Sacramento Valley and with the help of Click Monkey’s Photography meetup group.
